Veteran Congress Party leader Janardan Singh Gilot, who defeated the former vice president of the country, died in sadness!

Veteran Congressman Janardan Singh Jilot passed away in Jaipur today. Several veteran leaders, including Prime Minister Ashok Jhelot, have expressed their grief over the death of Janardan Singh Gillot, founder of the Kabaddi International Federation and Vice President of the Indian Olympic Federation.

Sanjay Gandhi confidant Janardan Singh defeated BJP veteran and late former vice president Bharon Singh Shekhawat in assembly elections from Gandhi Nagar seat in Jaipur simultaneously. Janardan Singh Gilot joined Congress again before the last Lok Sabha elections, severing ties with the BJP. Janardan Gilot joined the BJP in 2008, leaving the congress.

He served as Secretary General and Vice Chair of the State Congressional Committee for nearly twenty years with the Chair of the Youth Congress. He won the board elections from Carauli three times.

Prime Minister Ashok Gillot on Twitter wrote his deepest condolences on the death of Shri Janardhan Singh Gillot, former minister and founding president of the Kabaddi International Federation. He made a great contribution to the political sphere and the world of sports. May God give the afflicted family the strength to bear the burden, and deliver the departed soul.
