The low pressure area is forming over the Lakshadweep and Arabian Sea islands, as a result of which airlines have warned Vistara and Indigo against flights to Chennai, Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Goa and Ahmedabad due to bad weather conditions. A strong tornado of Tauktae is likely to come by Sunday. The meteorological department said the storm is likely to hit the coasts of Gujarat, Maharashtra and Kerala in the next four days, causing floods in Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

On Friday, NDRF officials made their preparations for the storm and said they are fully prepared for the disaster, 24 teams have already been deployed and 5 separate teams are kept. Those who will be called upon when needed.
