There was a steady decrease in new infections in Corona after the seventh of May. The IIT model shows that the peak of the second wave has passed. The infection has not increased in the past week. The number is decreasing, indicating that the infection rate has stabilized. Therefore, the data for the next few days will be able to completely clear the situation.
According to the Ministry of Health, on May 7, the highest number of 414,188 new coronavirus cases was reported in the country. After that, the number remained low. But there are more positive signs with these numbers. For example, in 18 states that represent about 60-65 percent of the country’s population, the infection rate has been stable or declining over the past week. There are only nine states and union territories where there is still a trend for growth.
Experts also believe that as infections continue to increase in many states, the number may remain high despite a decrease in new infections over the next few months.
Corona infection is under control in Maharashtra, Karnataka, AP, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi, Haryana, Bihar, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Telangana, Jammu, Goa, Chandigarh, Ladakh.
The states of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Assam, Punjab, Odisha, Himachal Pradesh, Puducherry and Manipur remain a concern.
