The center provided 50 percent financing to the Bengal Corporation. The minister said that 123 express courts have been approved in Bengal.

In Bengal, election dates have been announced in eight stages. The sequence is as follows.
The first stage of voting is on March 27th
The second stage of voting is on April 1
The third stage is voting on April 6
The fourth stage vote on April 10
The fifth stage of voting is on April 17th
The sixth stage vote on April 22
Voting for the seventh and final phase is scheduled for April 26 and the seventh on April 29.
