A by-assembly election for three seats will be held in Rajasthan on April 17th. The guidelines issued regarding COVID-19 will be followed strictly during the elections. Chief Election Officer Praveen Gupta said that during the Sub-Assembly elections, the election process must be conducted in strict compliance with the guidelines issued by the Center, State and Election Commission of India regarding COVID-19.
Chief Election Officer Praveen Gupta discussed preparations for the elections with Department Commissioner, Inspector General of Police of Udaipur, Ajmer and Bikaner, election officials and district police directors of Bellwara, Churu and Rajsamand through video conferences from NIC at the Secretariat on Wednesday. He said that the nomination phase will start with the issuance of the media bulletin on March 23. In such a case, the administration must complete the election process only after following the instructions issued regarding Corona.
Meanwhile, Gupta said that due to Corona, only two people and two cars would be allowed into the building during registration. During the election campaign, only 5 people will be able to move from home to home away from the crowds. Also, in the meetings, the central state government will have to strictly follow all instructions regarding Corona.
