Strict action will now be taken against sensors that do not repair the road in the Defect Liability Period (Warranty Period). Prime Minister Ashok Jahlot, during a review meeting of the Public Works Department’s work at CM Niwas Friday evening, instructed engineers to ensure quality assurance and said that severe measures must be taken against sensors that do not fix the road during a malfunction. During this period, Prime Minister Ashok Jhelot reviewed in detail the PMGSY, CRIF, SRF, RIDF, Rural Development Pathway Plans, etc. and the ongoing construction work in cooperation with NAHI, World Bank and Asian Development Bank. Gehlot also interacted with additional senior engineers, supervising engineers, and executive engineers working in various regions of the state through video conferencing.
The Prime Minister said the state government is working with the goal of making the state the first country in the country in terms of road construction. Public funds are spent on construction projects like roads, bridges, canals, etc.
In some cases, roads are damaged before the specified period due to poor construction quality. The department has a responsibility that the roads being built are sustainable and long lasting. The support of third-party experts should also be sought to perform the quality checks.
