Prime Minister Captain Amarinder Singh announced the promotion of fifth, eighth and tenth grades to the next semester without an exam due to the increasing infection with Coronavirus in Punjab. So far, the government has not made any decisions regarding the 12th exams. Soon the government will take a decision in this regard.

On Thursday, Punjab Prime Minister Captain Amarinder Singh held a review meeting with senior officials regarding the Corona situation in the state. The prime minister said all educational institutions in the state had already issued orders to close by April 30. However, it is necessary to cancel the exams, taking into account the safety of students of the 11-20 age group preparing for the exam.

Let us know that fifth graders took exams in four subjects. Only one test subject left. Now Punjab State Board of Education will announce the score based on the scores obtained in the four subject exams. At the same time, the results of the eighth and tenth examinations will be announced on the basis of the scores obtained in the pre-board examination and the internal evaluation.

63 Corona deaths and 3329 new cases

In Punjab, 63 people died on Wednesday due to infection. A further 3,329 new cases were reported. The 51 injured were still in critical condition, and they were placed on ventilators. And 7,672 infected people have died so far in the state.

According to the Health Department, on Wednesday, 11 in Amritsar, 3 in Patinda, 4 in Fadhilka, 2 in Gurdaspur, 4 in Hoshiarpur, 7 in Jalandhar, 3 in Kaportala, 6 in Ludhiana, 2 in Muga, 3 in Mohali, 2 in Pathankot , 6 were killed in Patiala, 2 in Sangrur, 3 in Nawanshahar and 2 in Tarn Taran, and 1 injured died in Ferozepur, Muktsar, Barnala.

So far, the report of 282,05 people in the state has been positive. 246,583 patients have recovered. The number of active cases reached 28,250. Oxygen support was applied to 374 patients suffering from breathing difficulties.
