Home delivery services may remain open until 10 PM.

Only 100 people can attend the wedding, while only 50 people can attend the funeral.

No religious processions or celebrations will take place in places of worship while prayers are permitted, while adhering to security protocols.

987 new cases of corona were recorded

Director of Health and Family Welfare Services S. Mohan Kumar said that 987 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in Puducherry on Thursday. This brings the total number of corona cases here to 50,580. On the same day, the total number of active cases in the Union Territory reached 5 thousand 923 cases, of which 4,016 patients were in home isolation.

726 people lost their lives

At the same time, 726 people died from this deadly disease. This resulted in mortality and recovery rates of 1.44% and 86.85%, respectively. The director said that during the past 24 hours, 464 people have recovered from this infectious disease and have been discharged from various hospitals. He said that so far, 30,657 health workers and 18,174 frontline workers have received the dose of Corona vaccines.
