The second wave of the Coronavirus has caused devastation, hundreds of deaths, and thousands of people infected every day. Meanwhile, the news about Coronavirus from Indian Railways is even more saddening. So far in Indian Railways, nearly one employee has fallen victim to Corona, with around 2,000 people losing their lives.
Railways Board Chairman Sunit Sharma said railways are no different from any other country or region and we are also facing a COVID case. We do the transportation business, bring in and transport goods and people, about 1000 cases coming every day. They said we had our own hospitals, we increased the number of beds, and built oxygen stations in the railway hospitals.
Sharma said we take care of our staff. Currently, 4000 railway employees or their family members are being admitted to these hospitals, and they said our efforts are a speedy recovery.
