The Meteorological Department predicted hurricane storms from the country’s west coast this week. The low pressure zone is forming over the southeast of the Arabian Sea, which is expected to move towards Lakshadweep adjacent to the Arabian Sea. When and where the storm will strike

According to the weather service, the first hurricane of the year will hit the western coast of the country by Sunday. Lakshadweep, Kerala, Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra, and Gujarat can attest to this. As a result, heavy rains may occur in many regions including Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra from 14 to 16 May. According to the report, the storm may pass south of the Kutch region on May 20 and also head towards southern Pakistan. If this happens, it will reach coastal areas of Gujarat by May 17 or 18. According to the meteorological department, in the next day or two, more information about its position will be available. Generally speaking, it will likely arrive by next week.

The possibility of heavy rain in these areas

Lakshadweep, Goa, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Kerala have been instructed to exercise caution. The possibility of precipitation in coastal areas has also been expressed. The meteorological department issued a warning to fishermen not to go to sea.

The wind will run at a speed of 60 kilometers

According to the alert issued by the Meteorological Department, strong winds will be witnessed in the Lakshadweep areas of the Maldives at a speed of between 40 and 60 kilometers per hour. Apart from this, people in coastal areas of Kerala, Goa, Karnataka and Maharashtra will have to cope with rain with thunderstorms.

The storm may intensify by May 16

Taukate can maintain its activity in the East Central Arabian Sea until May 16th. It is expected to move to the northwest, although some numerical models indicate a possible movement towards the Gujarat and Koch regions in the south, while others indicate it is moving towards southern Oman.
