In Gujarat, a health worker was confirmed to have coronavirus a few days after taking a second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Gandhinagar’s chief health officer, Dr. MH Solanki, said Saturday that a health worker, a resident of Dehgam Taluka in Gandhinagar district, took the first dose on January 16 and the second dose on February 15. He had a fever and upon examination of the symptoms it was confirmed that he was.
He told me he would be in working order from Monday. The official said that after taking two doses of the vaccine, it usually takes 45 days for the body to produce the antibodies.
He said that in order to stay safe despite taking the vaccine doses, people should wear masks and strictly adhere to all rules regarding Kovid-19 including two arenas.
As of Friday evening, 272,240 people have been confirmed infected and 4,413 deaths due to infection in Gujarat state.
