On the other hand, in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, a complete lockdown was announced as Corona cases increased. Full lockdown will be enforced in Bhopal from 9 PM until 19 April.

The severity of the epidemic can be gauged from the fact that once more new cases were received from India in the United States and Brazil every day, today more cases appear in India alone than the two cases received in these two countries. . . If we talk about the past 24 hours, there were 1,68,912 new cases in India, while about 48,000 new patients were found in America and about 38,000 new patients in Brazil.

According to the Federal Ministry of Health, cases of infection are increasing rapidly in Maharashtra, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Rajasthan, Punjab, Telangana, Uttarakhand, Andhra Pradesh and Bengal. . Due to the increase in cases in these states, the total number of infected persons exceeded Rs 1.35 crore. The total number of infected people is Rs 1.34 crore in Brazil and Rs 3.19 crore in the United States.

During this period, another 904 people have died from Corona infection. This is the largest number of deaths due to the epidemic in one day since October 18, 2020, bringing the death toll to 1,70,179. To date, more than 1.21 crores of patients have recovered, but the patient cure rate has dropped to less than 90 percent (89.86 percent). However, the good thing is that the death rate is also decreasing and is currently at 1.26 percent.

The active state exceeded 12 lakhs

Active statuses mean an increase in active states for 33 consecutive days. Currently, active cases have risen to 12,000, which is 8.88 percent of the total infected. In the first wave of the Corona epidemic, the maximum number of active cases in September was 10.17 thousand. Since then, they have begun to decline and on February 12 of last year their number has decreased to 1.35 lakhs.

11.80 lakh samples were tested on Sunday

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 1,180,136 samples were tested on Sunday for coronavirus infection. Together, over 25.78 crores samples have been tested so far.
