The statement said the Computer Emergency Response Team will investigate the matter. Health Minister and Chairman of the Empowered Vaccine Management Group RS Sharma denied the reports that Kovin was hacked, and said that all data stored on the Kovin app is safe.

The government said in a statement that there are some reports that the Kovin app could be hacked. Although all these reports seem fake at first glance. However, it will be examined by the Ministry of Health through the Computer Emergency Response Team of the Ministry of Information and Technology.

RS Sharma said Kovin’s data is not shared with any other organization outside the system. Sharma said in a statement that it has been reported in the news that the Kovin app could be hacked, and it has come to our attention. In this regard, we would like to say that all data on Covin is safe.

Let us tell you that there is no other mobile app in the country other than Arogya Setu and Umang App, which records vaccination and in both cases one has to login to Kovin through the app to register the vaccine.
